In-School Program
Oct-May
Meets 1-2 times a week on the school campus for 1.5 hrs. Mon-Thurs
facilitate Hearts On Fire program curriculum and activities
Once a Season 12 youth and 2-3 volunteers will get to explore amazing educational and fun outdoor experiences throughout WA state.
*All expenses paid for both Mentee and Volunteer.
*Must Commit to the program year.
*Mentees apply with progress report and essay to compete for HOF Explores spot.
*12 youth will be chosen from the Puget Sound Area.
What Is Mentoring?
A Matter of “Trust”
A structured & trusting relationship that brings young people together with caring and accountable individuals who offer guidance, support and encouragement aimed at developing the young person’s competence, self-esteem and character.
Meet with your mentee bi-monthly for 1.5 hrs to engage with them during an activity designed or approved by Hearts on Fire.
Commit to one year.
